Thank you once again for your booking. We’re delighted to welcome you to our campsite. As a small, family-run site located next to our home, we don’t have a formal reception—but we’re always just a call away.

    ⚠️ Important: Do not use junctions 33a or 33b. Use junction 33 to Flint only. Google Maps may direct you the wrong way—please call if you get lost.

Facilities

Toilets, Showers & Kitchen

We are currently operating as a pop-up site while awaiting planning approval. Facilities include:

  • Portable Toilet & Shower Block (marked on the map)
    • 1 male and 1 female cubicle
    • Shower uses immersion heating and requires refilling after 2–4 uses
  • Additional Bathroom in the outbuilding (with kitchenette)
    • Cold water sink
    • Electric hot shower

Please be considerate with water usage and keep showers brief.

Camp Kitchen

  • Shared kitchenette with basic amenities. Camp kitchen to include toastie machine/ electric kettle/ toaster/ microwave all available inc complementary tea coffee sugar.
  • Fridge available (use at your own risk)
  • Please clean up after use
  • Fresh eggs available in the Egg Box (£2.50 for 6 – honesty box)

Fires & Cooking

🔥 No campfires, fire pits, or open flames are allowed on pitches due to safety and environmental concerns.

We are developing a communal fire area in the allotment space for safe, social gatherings. Until then:

  • Use gas cookers only
  • Place cookers on protective mats
  • Contact us if you need help setting up

We have safe charcoal BBq fire pits available to hire £20 inc charcoal/ fire lighters.


Farm Animals

We have over 40 re-homed hens and a small herd of alpacas:

  • Hens: Free-roaming and friendly. Please gently shoo if needed.
  • Alpacas:
    • Rooney: Friendly, hums, may nibble
    • Pearl: Shy, raised by foster mum
    • Rocky: Newborn, hand-fed
    • Fortuna, Opal, Que Sera: The mums and aunties

🐾 No dogs allowed due to animal welfare.

Visiting the Animals

  • Access between 13:00–16:00
  • Follow the path past the safari tent
  • Do not open gates unless already open
  • Please do not feed any animals

Pond & Picnic Areas

We are restoring a wildlife pond with fenced safety and picnic benches. Additional seating is available around the site—please share and enjoy respectfully.

  • Chester City Centre – 20 mins
  • Chester Zoo – 20 mins
  • Greenacres Farm – 10 mins
  • Flint Castle & Coastal Path
  • Ewloe Castle, Holywell, Moel Famau, Loggerheads Country Park – 15 mins

Shops & Eateries

  • Pubs: Coach & Horses (right at end of Starkey Lane), Red Lion & The Boot Inn (left to Northop village)
  • Shops: Local store and post office in Northop
  • Towns: Mold (10 mins), Flint (7 mins)
  • Food Delivery: Available—please manage waste responsibly

Site Etiquette

In order to make the site the best experience for all guests, we do have some etiquette rules in place that we would ask you to abide by, specifically our quiet hours from 9pm. We pride ourselves on keeping our neighbours in the tents and our residential neighbours and animals happy to maintain a calm and relaxed campsite. We love fun as much as anyone but need to respect our environment so please consider others and no unsupervised children around the site which keeps everyone safe and relaxed.

  • Noise:
    • No music audible beyond 4m from pitch
    • Quiet hours: after 21:00
    • Communal area (once open): quiet by 22:30
  • Early Risers: Please keep noise minimal before 08:00

Vehicle Access

  • Cars may be parked at the end of your pitch (not on grass)
  • Gate locked from 21:00–08:00
  • 1–2 cars can be parked in the entrance area
  • Pedestrian gate always open

Rubbish & Recycling

It's very important to us to reduce waste so PLEASE USE THE RECYCLING BINS PROVIDED. Take what you can home but any waste you can't remove please ask for the skip key and within reason we will help, but we strongly encourage recycling outside the camp kitchen.

Please sort and dispose of waste as follows:

  • Glass: Blue plastic box
  • Plastic & Cans: Silver sacks
  • Paper & Cardboard: Blue sacks
  • General Waste: Locked skip (ask for key)
